Over 25 junior college athletes, who play football in the greater Los Angeles Area, attended Northstar Performance Training’s skills development camp held at Citrus College over the weekend. The players competed in the 40-yard dash, L-Drill, shuttle and long jump. The camp was solely based on getting athletes prepared for the tests they will receive in college as well as the NFL.
Keith Johnson (CEO of Northstar) held the JC showcase to expose young players to the prerequisites of an actual combine.
“One thing we consistently offer to these young athletes is more technical training and the ability to change directions and move the correct way…its important to be explosive on the football field and that is exactly what type of work that goes on at these camps,” Johnson explained.
Players from Citrus, San Bernardino, Long Beach, Golden West and many more were just some of the participants at the combine training.
